All these Bodhisattvas with their golden huge bodies, thirty-two signs and boundless radiance, had all before been dwelling in infinite space below this Saha world. All these Bodhisattvas, hearing the voice of Muni Buddha, preaching sprang forth from below. Each one of these Bodhisattvas was the commander

Moreover, others' retinues numerous as the sons of fifty thousand, forty thousand, thirty thousand, twenty thousand, ten thousand gandhis. At that time, we can see the precious, his name is Abundant Treasures Tathagata are sitting in the seat inside of the stupa.

And this Abundant Treasures Tathagata was very, I want to say, just like a mummy. But that I told you, I explained the meaning of this Abundant Treasures Tathagata. And that is a kind of a symbol of the Buddha's teaching handed down from generation to generation by all human beings from century after century. So it doesn't actually work, but only teachings have been handed down from generation to generation.

And then this stupa, the Tathagatas anyway, are sitting in his seat inside of the stupa. And then at that time, the stupa, the Abundant Treasures Tathagata anyway said, Your preaching is right, exactly right. Means how wonderful Lotus Sutra is. Your teaching is exactly correct. So this Tathagata proves how wonderful Lotus Sutra is. And then Tathagata invited Shakyamuni Buddha to his seat and he shares his seat, half of his seat and sit down together inside of the stupa.

So Buddha, Buddha Shakyamuni and stupa, Abundant Treasures Tathagata sit together in one seat. That means Buddha's teaching and image of Buddha. That is in Tathagata's, you know, Abundant Treasure Tathagata is exactly symbol of the Buddha's teaching and also image of the Buddha. So actually it doesn't work. Nothing but the symbol of the Buddha's teaching and the image of Buddha. But now its doors open means Tathagata's symbol of Buddha's teaching and symbol of Buddha's anyway exist now. How make them alive?

Then Buddha Tathagata must be there. So this author anyway bring the Buddha Shakyamuni and let him sit together means that teaching and image of Buddha's exactly work in people's life. That is the Buddha Tathagata's coming. So authors anyway let them sit together in one seat in the stupa. And then in that time all Bodhisattva, Mahasattva watch these scenes. And then they feel they were really so far from the stupa in the sky. Stupa, remember stupa is exactly hanging in the sky.

So people, Bodhisattva, laymen, laywomen and all Bodhisattva feel we are so far from them so they wanted to go there. So by the Buddha's powers, supreme powers, they were invited also to the inside of the stupa. And then anyway they can go. And then in the sutra they can go. So there are three. Image of the Buddha's teaching, image of the Buddha. That is the main significance of abundant treasure Tathagata. And then the Buddha comes together, sits together.

And then human beings, Bodhisattvas all come together. And that Bodhisattva as I told you before, that Bodhisattva, Mahasattva are really people who really wanted to teach essence of Buddha's teaching. Maybe a little bit, which is a little different from Hinayana people traditionally at those days. The two groups, Bodhisattva, one are a bunch of Bodhisattvas, the other is a bunch of Bodhisattvas. These Bodhisattvas are very conservative. The other Bodhisattvas group are not conservative. They try to understand the essence of Buddha's teaching, spirit of Buddha's teaching, quality of Buddha's life, anyway they try.

But this traditional, existing Bodhisattva groups didn't accept those ideas, new ideas, new ideas of Buddha's teaching created by new Bodhisattva group. So, these Bodhisattvas, new Bodhisattva groups suffered a lot at those days. So, anyway, that's why in this chapter, anyway many Bodhisattvas, Mahasattvas come from the earth, come up, spring up, spring from, spring up from the earth.

And in the sutra, this chapter, these Bodhisattvas were people who had been educated by the Buddha in the past for many, many years by Shakyamuni Buddha. That means, for a long, long time, these new Bodhisattva groups were not accepted by existing conservative Bodhisattva groups. Who are they coming up from the ground? Then Buddha Shakyamuni explained, they have been educated by me in the world, in the past, for many, many years ago. So, already they were educated. That is new Bodhisattva group coming from the earth. Anyway, stupas also come from the earth and dwell in the sky. So, here is the idea of the sky. Sky means that which is in between heaven and earth. So, heaven means future.

Underground means past. And on earth means present. The sky is completely in between the sky and the earth and heaven. That means beyond. Beyond the idea of time, past, present and future anyway. That is sky. So stupa is hanging in the sky means that stupa as a symbol of the Buddhist faith is not the place where the Buddha Shakyamuni's relics enshrined inside of the stupa.

This is not the symbol of faith. The stupa as a symbol of faith is now, anyway, well, abandoned treasure totals and also Buddha Shakyamuni and also all Bodhisattvas anyway exist there. It means what traditions, teachings and also image of Buddha as an object of worship and also Buddha Shakyamuni that is historical Buddha Shakyamuni there. Other human beings who were born in this world. So it's not divinity or spirit. It's really human beings. Then this is a little symbol and also teaching mentioned by these Buddhas anyway.

But for many many years Buddha died in the past. So many many years human beings anyway try to image what the Buddha was. That is a symbol of abandoned Buddha totality. Abandoned treasure totality. And Buddha's anyway here, Shakyamuni Buddha's here and also there are human beings there. Human beings. So human beings, Buddha totality and symbol of the teaching and symbol of the image of the Buddha all come together inside of the stupa. That is a symbol of the faith. Because teaching doesn't work alone. Teaching must be a work together with human beings. And also symbol of the Buddha image doesn't work.

So it needs anyway human beings And also it is not a mysterious story. Not only mysterious story. It must be anyway in accord with human history. That is Buddha Shakyamuni anyway. So all three are put together. Right now. That is right now. But right now is not present. We can re-image. We can image. It's not that this happens event and not in the past. Not in the future. It's really now. But now is not the picture of the present. We can image. That is complete beyond. Time, present, past, present, future. Then here, there. That is anyway picture, story of the previous childhood.

So it's very interesting. If you imagine these stories in your head. It's beautiful stories comes up. Pictures comes up. And also it is exactly truth. So if you are really attached to the past, present, and future. That story doesn't work. Because Buddha Shakyamuni is what? Who is Buddha Shakyamuni? What is worship of Buddhism? Worship of Buddhism is Shakyamuni Buddha. Yes, it is. But who is? Who is he? He is a human being? Oh, yes. Human being. He is now a human being. He is already a Buddha. So he is a sort of divinity? Spiritual entity?

Oh, maybe so. Who doesn't live? Maybe next chapter, you know, the eternal life. Buddha's life he explains. So you can say so. So you can attach to anyway past. You can attach to present. Also you can attach to the future anyway. So you have to accept Buddha anyway beyond idea of time. Past, present, future. Whatever you think. We should accept the object of worship is anyway Dharmakaya Buddha or Nirmanakaya Buddha or Sambhogakaya Buddha. We always discuss in the history of Buddhism. Even in sort of schools still we discuss what is real Buddha

as an object of worship. Dharmakaya Buddha means exactly spiritual entities beyond human beings. Beyond Gautama Siddhartha who was born in this world. So we discuss. Or historical Buddha is object of worship for sort of them or not. Or Sambhogakaya Buddha. We often discuss about it. But in sort of them according to Dogen Zenji the object of worship is completely three of them together. You can attach to either one of them anyway. All put together. This is the symbol of the worship for sort of Zen Buddhism.

So that's why in this sutra also anyway stupas, the abundant treasure totals and Buddhist ceremonies and human beings, bodhisattvas all come together. And also they exist exactly beyond time, idea of time, past, present, future. It's there. Even though you don't believe it. But it's there. This is Buddhism which exists now. So that's why we should accept Buddhas like this. And also we should accept we should deal with Buddha Shakyamuni like this. And also we should accept receive and lead and respect the teaching of Buddhas just like this.

Beyond. Idea of time, past, present, future. Same applies to your life too. We should accept our lives anyway complete beyond time, idea of time, past, present, future. What we do our best to deal with human body, human mind, whoever you are, day by day. That is important attitude to all human beings. That is a teaching of previous chapter anyway. That's why stupa comes up. Stupa also comes up from the earth means anyway faith, Buddhist faith anyway didn't appear in the stupa didn't appear in the human world for many

years because so far stupa became a symbol of the faith well, accepted by human beings, Bodhisattvas, Buddhists you know. Believing stupa is the place where the Buddha's relics was enshrined. That's all. It's not real Buddhist faith. That's why stupa anyway didn't appear in the world that's why under the ground. Then stupa comes up from the earth. That means now stupa appears in the sky as the exact symbol of Buddhist faith which is true. That is the story. Then anyway this chapter comes from this chapter anyway he used another

time, idea of time present, past, future anyway but it is not good enough then anyway we should understand human beings, human world including buddhas human histories human civilizations anyway covered with akashas that means space that is huge complete huge that is empty sunyata where is sunyata? sunyata is not idea of philosophical term this is in the human heart where is it? can't you find the space or sunyata in the human heart? yes, how? well, it is vast as universe

so you can finally, you can find space and space and sunyata anyway in the heart but the moment when you find sunyata in the heart it becomes vast immediately just like I told you before you know a drop of dew touches the space you know exactly it extends you know extends all directions walking you know to space so it is not a moment in a moment simultaneously there is huge world you know moment anyway extends to all directions in space that is
