Copyright Policy
Version: 3.0
Effective date: November 1, 2026
Engage Wisdom respects copyright and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This page explains how to report infringement on the platform and what happens next.
Designated Agent
Copyright notices go to our designated agent:
Copyright Agent, Engage Wisdom Sonic Zen, Inc. (doing business as Engage Wisdom) 2916 Chapman Street, Oakland, CA 94601, USA Email: office@engagewisdom.com Phone: (510) 798-5115
Filing a Copyright Notice
Email the designated agent with all of the following. A notice missing elements may not be valid under the DMCA:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- The URL or location on the Service of the material you believe infringes it.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Your name, address, email, and phone number.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name suffices).
When we receive a valid notice, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material. We notify the user who posted it and provide them a copy of the notice, redacted only where privacy or safety concerns warrant it and where the statute allows. Note that filing a notice ordinarily discloses your contact details to the user who posted the material.
Counter-Notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the designated agent including:
- Identification of the removed material and where it appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, of your good-faith belief that the removal was a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number.
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your district (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district where Engage Wisdom may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we forward it promptly to the original complainant and tell them we will restore the material no earlier than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receiving your counter-notice, unless, before we restore it, they notify us that they have filed a court action, or a claim before the Copyright Claims Board that the law treats the same way (17 U.S.C. Section 1507(d)), seeking to restrain the posting.
Repeat Infringers
We may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, as stated in our Terms of Service. We keep records of notices and enforcement actions.
Other Intellectual-Property Claims
For trademark or other non-copyright intellectual-property claims, email office@engagewisdom.com, and our help center explains what to include.
